Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2022 Jeep Renegade. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it is an exposed cross tube, meaning you are gonna see the majority of the hitch below the bumper, but it is a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. So that's really gonna open it up for a bunch of different options, whether you're picking up a ball mount, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier. And all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now, the hitch does not come with the pin and clip, but a lot of times your accessories, when you pick those up, will have one included. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it is an exposed cross tube, meaning you are gonna see the entire hitch, or at least the main part of it. It does bolt up in the frame, but you will see most of it. Now, not to worry, though, it gives it kind of a neat look on a Jeep, a little bit more utility. EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Jeep Renegade- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the EcoHitch hidden trailer hitch receiver here on our 2020 Jeep Renegade. So, here's what our trailer hitch receiver looks like installed on the vehicle here. Now, hence the name, it has a hidden design, meaning the cross tube is actually gonna be tucked away behind the rear bumper here, so the only thing we are able to see is the receiver tube opening. And then what we can see here has a nice black-powder-coated finish, which is gonna help it blend in with the underside of the vehicle well. It's also gonna help protect it from rust and corrosion over time. As you can see, it's gonna be pretty visible in the rear of the vehicle. We'll have that cross tube that's gonna go all the way across the rear, and then up to where it connects with the frame. In the middle we're gonna have our receiver tube opening. This is a Class III hitch, so it'll have a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening; makes it extremely versatile. Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Jeep Renegade- Video

Speaker 1: Today, on this 2016 Jeep Renegade, we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite class two inch and a quarter receiver hitch, part number 36587. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on a Renegade, and yes, you can see on an initial glance, it does sit completely underneath the bumper.Our hitch is going to have an inch and a quarter receiver opening right here which will be great for light duty towing or cargo carriers or even bike racks. For towing purposes, our hitch is going to have very generous openings for your safety chains, and also it's going to use that half inch hitch pin or your favorite locking hitch pin. Our hitch pin hole uses a half inch diameter hitch pin or your favorite locking hitch pin.Going on to the rest of our hitch, it uses round tube construction which looks nice and matches with the vehicle, compared to square receivers. It goes all the way out to the edge here and it reaches up towards the frame rails. Our hitch has a black, powder coat finish on it to help protect it from the elements and any road debris.Our weight capacities of our hitch, for towing, are going to be 300LBs of tongue weight, which is the weight that pushes down on the hitch, and then the hitch can pull up to 3,500LBs. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Jeep Renegade- Video

Speaker 1: Today in our 2016 Jeep Renegade, we'll be having a look at, and installing, the Curt Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C12142.All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. It is tucked up behind our fascia here nicely, so we don't have to worry about running our ankle or our shin into it as we're loading cargo into our hatch. Also, around our receiver opening, we have an adequate amount of clearance around the fascia and around the ground, making this an ideal hitch to use for bike racks and cargo carriers.Now, if you are going to use this hitch for a non-trailer application, Curt does require the use of a stabilization strap to help support the load. We have those available separately on our website.On the side of our receiver here you'll our industry-standard 1/2" diameter hitch pin hole, to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories that we may have. On the end our our receiver we have this collar that's welded on to help improve the looks and give it some added strength. Welded on the bottom of the frame of our hitch and our receiver tube is our safety-chain plate. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Jeep Renegade- Video

Today on our 2016 Jeep Renegade, we will be installing the Kirt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part Number C13269. Here is what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it is a nice clean look underneath our vehicle. We have this nice, high gloss, powder coat finish on our entire hitch. Our safety chain loops are an angular steel construction, welded to the bottom of the receiver and the frame of our hitch. You see we also have this nice welded on collar around our Class 3 2X2 inch opening, to give the nice aesthetic appearance. This hitch features a 525 pound max tongue weight rating and a 3500 pound max gross trailer rate rating. Kirt does require the use of a stabilization strap if you are going to be using it for a non-trailer application, such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier. more

Today we're going to be reviewing and installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver. It's a Class III hitch, part number 75970, on our 2016 Jeep Renegade. This is what this hitch looks like once it's installed on your vehicle. You can see it's got a reinforcement collar here around the 2" x 2" receiver tube opening. It features both 1/2" and 5/8" hitch pin holes. The smaller 1/2" hole is good for use with a J-pin stabilization system. We've got a plate under here with holes in it for our safety chains. more
